Startup of the Week: Taqwa.me
Taqwa.me, a Seattle and Australia-based startup formed last March by Catalin Vasili La’Zar, Kerim Numan and Sourabh Behra, takes its name from the Islamic concept of constant awareness of Allah. It’s a fitting name given that the founders are trying to create safe and educational online search experiences for Muslims, a lofty goal given that the founders admit that there are many current misconceptions about the faith.
We chatted with Vasili La’Zar, a former Microsoft manager, for the latest installment of Startup of the Week.
